Chancellor of the Republic of Honduras
Lisandro Rosales
He was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras on December 26, 1969 from the home formed by Brigadier General Marco Antonio Rosales Abella (QDDG) and Mrs. Bertha Alicia Banegas (QDDG). He is married to Pamela Alejandra Ayala Alemán with whom he had two children. He graduated from Richard Montgomery High School in Washington DC, United States and continued university studies at the Central American Technological University (UNITEC), where he received a Bachelor of Business and Administration degree. In 2015, he obtained a specialization in Administration of Security and Defense Institutions, from the National Defense University of the United States of North America. In 2002 he acted as Director of Presidential Activity of the Republic of Honduras of the government of Ricardo Maduro and in November 2004 he became consul of Honduras in New York. Between 2006 and 2009 he was manager of the Invosa radio station group. In the 2010-2014 period, in his first term he served as Commissioner Minister of the Permanent Contingency Commission (Copeco) and in January 2014 he was appointed as head of the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion. After a period dedicated to his family, he resumed public administration, on January 16, 2016, as head of Copeco and as director of the National 911 Emergency System, which he gave life from its law to its operation. During his tenure as minister, he was founder of the Immediate Response Unit (URI, 2011), the Emergency Medical Unit (UME, 2017) and the National Civil Protection Directorate (2018) of Copeco and Family Guides (2014 ) of the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion. On two occasions, I have held the protémpore presidency of the Coordination Center for the Prevention of Disasters in Central America and the Dominican Republic (Cepredenac), the governing body for risk management of the Central American Integration System (SICA). In July 2019, he was appointed by the President of the Republic, Juan Orlando Hernández as Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Honduras.
